Awasi Art week by LABVERDE, Iguazú Falls in Argentina
In May 2024, Kamimura participated in AWASI ART WEEK, a collaborative project launched by LABVERDE and AWASI in Iguazú, Argentina. Iguazú hosts a diverse ecosystem and large-scale water circulation, deepening the awareness of water as a universal substance. Kamimura conducted field recordings of the Iguazú Falls, the world's largest waterfall, and its surrounding water environments, such as the Parama River, a border between Paraguay and Argentina, and Lago Urugua-I.
Massive water walls flow down to the land. Its burst moisture constantly generates various phenomena, such as evaporation, to transform dynamic clouds that produce thunder and constant rainfall. Also, the humidity sparkles the changeable lights. This diverse water and light show us the possibility and effectiveness of immersing in the environment through them. In addition, an attractive reverb echoed underwater in the Panama River. This is due to the rock rolling at the bottom of the river.
